Asics announces the highly anticipated and beloved new Novablast 5 running shoe. The latest update to the Novablast series offers a uniquely comfortable and energetic running experience through a combination of lightweight materials and Asics' new midsole material. Adhering to Asics' design philosophy of respecting Japan's principles of "improvement" and continuous refinement, the Novablast 5 features innovative updates to the midsole foam, upper and tongue components, and overall design elements. New materials enhance comfort and energy. The Novablast 5, originally introduced on the Glideride Max, utilizes Ff Blast Max foam cushioning technology, contributing to an approximately 8.5% improvement in bounce performance compared to previous Novablast models. Currently, the Novablast 5 is the only shoe in the Asics lineup to feature a full Ff Blast Max midsole. The Novablast 5's upper has also been improved for comfort, now featuring engineered jacquard mesh for enhanced breathability compared to the previous woven upper. The tongue structure of the Novablast 5 also draws inspiration from the Superblast footwear collection, echoing the gusseted wing design to help secure lockdown and instill confidence during workouts.
