New Balance recently released its first Issey Miyake-designed sneaker. Under the creative influence of designer Satoshi Kondo, it seems to be setting off another wave of flat shoe craze. Surrounded by Issey Miyake's spring/summer transparent suits and gradient color schemes, these New Balance Mt10s are very eye-catching, and not just because of the large "N" logo on the side. First and foremost, this shoe is incredibly flat. Its design is inspired by New Balance's Minimus running shoe, launched in 2010. The Minimus line aims to bring the feel of footwear as close to barefoot as possible. The MT10, a classic model from New Balance's trail running collection, features a specially compressed design, incorporating signature Issey Miyake elements and a signature colorway, echoing the brand's spring/summer theme. It exudes sensuality and a lightweight feel. The New Balance MT10 from Issey Miyake retains the semi-flat shape of the Minimus sneaker but elevates its inherent fashion allure to a new level.
