DDD Sizes: 39-45 DDD Arc'teryx, the pinnacle brand of outdoor sports products, released its first trail running shoe, the Norvan Vt, in 2017. Arc'teryx trail running shoes are divided into three series: Vt Vertical Terrain, Ld Long Distance, and Sl Super Light. Today, they have been updated to the third generation. The name Norvan comes from North Vancouver, representing a high-performance trail running system. In 2018, I reviewed Arc'teryx's first-generation long-distance trail running shoe, the Norvan Ld. This time, I'm reviewing the third generation of the series, the Norvan Ld 3, which represents a complete transformation compared to the original. In terms of overall appearance, the Norvan Ld 3 maintains Arc'teryx's consistent design style, with its signature understated color scheme, using solid colors to create a sense of sophistication. The upper uses a single-layer Cordura mesh, offering better breathability compared to the tightly woven upper of the first generation. A heat-pressed TPU film supports the upper, and thanks to the heat-pressed TPU around the midsole, the Norvan Ld 3 achieves greater wading depth. The Norvan Ld 3's upper is molded in one piece, with stitching only in the center of the heel cup. The heel cup features a rigid heel counter for effective support and heel locking, and the Arc'teryx logo is printed on the outer side of the heel. The multi-layered toe cap design protects the toes from injury caused by kicking sharp rocks. (DDD 11Gxd389A20 DDD)
