Gucci The Alchemist's Garden Hortus Sanitatis fragrance from the Gucci Alchemist's Garden collection
Gucci launched its haute couture perfume collection in January 2017. The Gucci Alchemist Garden collection was created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele. Inspired by alchemy and the art of perfume making, the collection is carefully formulated to be layered, mixed and matched to create unique and personalized combinations.
Gucci The Alchemist's Garden Hortus Sanitatis fragrance will be launched as a new member of the collection in 2017 and will be available only in designated stores Dover Street Market and some Gucci boutiques.
Hortius Sanitatis, Latin for "Garden of Health", is named after one of the earliest natural history encyclopedias from the 15th century. Gucci has published a book of the same name with British photographer Derek Ridgers, who photographed the 2017 Early Fall collection.
Hortius Sanitatis is a fragrance with notes of vetiver, papyrus, cedar and ginger. The scent is equally refreshing, cool, warm, earthy and smooth, just as Gucci describes it, soft and rough.
The fragrance is housed in a collectible blue glass bottle inspired by vintage apothecary bottles.
